Weekly Update - April 5
Hello SuperStar families,
We’ve officially made it to the month of April. The weather has certainly reminded us that it is Spring. Please give yourself extra time on days when the weather is not great. We also know that the sun angle in the front lot creates challenges to see, so please drive slowly and carefully through the lot.
Thank you to all the families who were able to come and visit for Back to School Night. It was great to see the students’ amazing work and how proud they were of it.
Upcoming Events:
April 9 = Band/Strings Concert, 5:30p at MHS
April 10 = Minimum Day
April 13-17 = No School, Spring Break
April 22 = incoming TK/Kinder Orientation, 830a, new MUR
April 23 = School Site Council, 4p, online
April 23 = Parent Night, 5p, Topic TBD
Reminders/Notes
** If a student forgets an item (lunch or water bottle), parents may drop these items off in the office on the shelves by the front desk. Nothing should be passed through the gates or fencing. Doing this creates a safety issue and violates the “private property” rule that must be followed to keep any federal agents off site. We will not interrupt or interfere with instruction to notify a child that they have an item in the office. Please work to support your child’s growth, learning responsibility and routines.
** All Lost & Found items must be claimed by Friday, April 10th. Any remaining items will be donated during Spring Break.
** Drop off zone and passing lanes - Students are never to be dropped off or picked up in any lane except the one closest to the curb, inside the cones. We have had some scary incidents with near misses of students moving between the cars. Avoiding a possible tardy is never worth your child’s or any child’s safety.
