 Parent School Climate Survey for Randall Elementary School  

January 26, 2015 - March 30, 2015


The purpose of this survey is to obtain parent perceptions of student behavior and attitudes, school programs and policies, and the overall school climate as they relate to student well-being and learning.  It deals with such issues as truancy, safety, harassment, substance use, school connectedness, and learning supports.  The survey is a companion to the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), and the California School Climate Survey (CSCS) for staff.

Your participation is voluntaryIt is also very important. The information you provide will help guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, improve student achievement, and reduce health risks that stand as barriers to learning. 

  • This is an anonymous survey.  It is designed so that no one can be identified from the data.  You do not have to respond to any questions that you feel could be used to identify you.  Simply skip any such questions.
  • All questions apply to this school only.
  • The results are for the use of your district.  CDE/CHKS will preserve data confidentiality and refer any data requests to the district. 
  • If you have more than one child at Randall, please complete one survey for each child.

Ask our students about P.R.I.D.E.


Students earn PRIDE tickets when they demonstrate PRIDE.  Every Friday, during the morning assembly, students receive prizes if their PRIDE ticket is drawn.  



All of our students have been working really hard to show PRIDE and to earn PRIDE tickets.  We are pleased to announce that the students earned enough PRIDE tickets to fill the vitrolero (container).
As promised ... all the students will receive Popsicles at lunch recess.

All students were trained on what it takes to be a Superstar table while in the Cafeteria.  

  Ask your children what they learned, what the expectations are, and what they can earn.   

Box Tops For Education

Thank you Randall families for collecting Box Tops for Education! 
We were able to collect 1,575 Box Tops this time!! 
The top collectors were:
Mr. Topham's class Room 112 - 611 box tops
Mrs. Castello's class Room 101 = 163 box tops

Band for 4th-6th Graders

Band meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the MPR from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM.  If interested, please contact the office.

Emergency Cards

It is VERY important that every student has an updated emergency card on file in the office.  We have had several incidence where a sick or injuried student needs to go home and non of the contact numbers are working.  Please be sure to turn in a completed emergency cards and be sure to let us know if any numbers change.

Kindergarten (K) and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Registration for 2014-2015

Registration for Transitional Kindergarten for 2014-2015 began March 3, 2014.  If your child turns 5 before September 1st, 2014, you will register him/her for Kindergarten.

If your child turns 5 between September 2 and December 2 of 2014, he/she is eligible for Transitional Kindergarten for the 2014-2015 school year. 

Registration occurs at your school of residence.

Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship

Milpitas Unified School District is now offering resources to parents on the topic of Digital Citizenship. These resources cover topics such as cyberbullying, protecting your child's reputation, online etiquette, respecting creative work, research skills, plagiarism, and more. For more information please access our Digital Citizenship page located in the Parent Resources section. We will be constantly adding more resources and information to this part of our website as we get them.
